Lou Normann credits Stan Lee, Rod Serling and TV episodes of Colombo as his inspiration for writing. The murder mystery thriller has been in his blood since he can remember and telling stories came naturally since childhood. It was inevitable that grappling with words and language and turning them into novels was the next step - writing is his passion.

Danny Washington, excited about his new rock band, needs a place to practice, so he cleans out his grandfather’s woodworking shed and comes across an old wooden spoon with strange markings. He gives it to his little sister. She sells it at a yard sale, and thus begins the spoon’s journey through their small town as it changes hands and confounds the lives of those who cross paths with it. Cars crash, people die, dreams are dashed, hope ebbs and flows, and of all things, the spoon ends up back in the renovated shed. Danny and his band investigate the origin of the wooden spoon in an effort to solve the mystery before anyone else gets killed.
